for some reason, maybe my extremely advanced age, I've taken to listening to Chopin as I fall asleep every night. It must be slightly unnerving for Jon, as he passes my bedroom with his midnight snack of Dr. Pepper and Chips Ahoy - to find me lying on my bed, hands folded on my chest, Fantasie Impromptu intoning from my speakers.

Either way, I've been tinkering with little Chopin-esque tunes of my own:

Nocturne Midnite

Best listened to whilst falling asleep in your darkened bedroom...

Very nice!! I feel the Chopin spirit being channeled! My favorite Chopin piece is Piano concerto No. 1 in E minor, op. 11 II -- Romance. Larghetto. It was the cue music for our wedding. Plus, it was featured in the movie Splash! Can't beat that haha

Lovely!  I'm adding it to my favorites as soon as I can figure out how to copy it! Makes me want to listen to more Chopin, too. (Pretty good way to spend those late night hours!)

It's crazy how you can be so talented in both art and music. But from the look of the gnarled drawing hand I suppose it was mostly hard work.

My kids listen to classical during writing. Whenever I forget to put it on, someone always reminds me that we need our thinking music to be outstanding writers. I think it works.
